How To Write a New WordPress Blog Article

Posts that make your blog keep your site fresh with new content. Here, I will guide you how to write a new WordPress blog or article.

Posts are what makes your blog. It is nothing but the entries listed in reverse chronological order on the blog home page. Due to their reverse chronological order, your posts are meant to be timely. They are written on a regular schedule and one of their key purposes is to keep your site fresh with new content.

Here, I will guide you how to write a new WordPress blog or article.

  • To get started creating your first WordPress post, go to Posts option appear on the left side of the Dashboard.
  • Next click on Add New.

Now, you have entered in Editor. Here, you can write anything that you want to insert in your blog.

  • First, write the Title of your blog in the Title box. Here, you can use any phrases, words or characters. WordPress will then automatically generate a user-friendly and URL-valid name of the post.
  • Now, start writing you main body in the blank box. Here you can insert a link, images or any text you want to display on your site.
  • In this section, you can even use Text view to compose your posts.

Yoast SEO:

Almost every WordPress blogger choose to use Yoast SEO to satisfy SEO of their WordPress site/blog.

This section appears next at the bottom of your WordPress Text box.

Here, you have to enter your focus keyword that you have set for your new blog post. Then, enter the meta description for your post. Meta description summarizes your content on the search engine that helps you to rank better.

  • Choose Category:

Now, select the category for your post from the category box. Here, you can even add a new category for your blog where you can add further posts.

  • Insert Tags:

Insert tags for your post that describes it. It includes index entries for a page.

  • Add Featured Image:

Featured image is the image that is set as the representative image of your blog post.

  • Publish Box:
  • Save button:

Here, you can save a draft of your blog post.  To return to your drafts later, visit Posts – Edit in the menu bar, then select your post from the list.

  • Preview:

Allows you to view the post before officially publishing it.

  • Publish:

When you are ready, click Publish.

Click on it means you are publishing your post on the site. You can edit the time when the post is published by clicking the Edit link above the “Publish” button and specifying the time you want the post to be published.

Hence, you are all set by writing a blog post for your WordPress blog.
